Gewalzte Stahlwinkel – ungleich werden als "Winkel" oder "L-Form" bezeichnet. Sie werden durch Angabe der beiden Schenkellängen (zuerst länger) und der Wandstärke (alle in mm) beschrieben, z. 150 x 100 x 8 RSA. Da sich das längere Bein in vertikaler Position befindet, ist seine Belastbarkeit größer als bei gleichen Winkeln, daher werden sie oft als Stürze verwendet. Ungleiche Winkel werden auch als Halterungen für Stollenverbindungen verwendet. Ähnlich wie gleiche Winkel werden sie für Balkone, Podeste, Treppen, Betonstützen usw. verwendet.
